Anne Waters is a visual artist whose work explores themes of water, memory, and painterly abundance. Born in Oregon and raised in Everett, Washington, she was introduced to watercolor at an early age by her aunt. Although she began her professional life in business, a layoff in adulthood became a pivotal moment, leading her back to art. Waters pursued private watercolor study, later teaching classes, and eventually expanded her practice after relocating from California to Washington.

Largely self-directed, Waters’ work evolved from detailed watercolor to expressive acrylic painting marked by contrasts between thick, gestural brushstrokes and smooth, glassy surfaces. Inspired by gardening, Impressionism, and water imagery, she blends figurative and abstract elements to create tranquil, vibrant compositions. Beginning her art career at age forty, she has exhibited nationally, including Spectrum and Red Dot Miami during Art Basel, and galleries such as Posh Fine Art LLC. Her work appears in private and corporate collections and has received awards from the Palm Beach Watercolor Society.
