Barbara Silver
Barbara Silver is a contemporary artist whose work reflects a lifelong career rooted in design, color, and visual storytelling. After contributing to the success of major beauty brands including Estée Lauder, Revlon, Guerlain, Clarins, NARS, Prada, Aramis, and Aveda, she transitioned her creative expertise into fine art. Silver approaches each canvas as an opportunity for freedom and exploration, creating original works that balance bold expression with moments of quiet simplicity.
Her paintings range from Richter-inspired color fields to refined, minimal compositions, unified by a sophisticated and intuitive use of color. A magna cum laude graduate of New York University, she also studied at Cooper Union and the Boca Museum Art School. Silver’s award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries throughout South Florida and is held in public and private collections in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. Through her “abstractions,” she creates visually engaging pieces that evoke both energy and calm, inviting viewers into a dynamic and contemplative experience of color, form, and emotion.
