Debra Branitz
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Debra developed an early passion for painting and visual storytelling that later expanded through formal study at SUNY New Paltz, where they majored in Art Education with a minor in Art History. During this time, they discovered the works of the French Impressionists, Italian Renaissance masters, and French Neo-Classicists and Realists, whose use of color, light, and shadow left a lasting influence on their artistic approach and visual sensibility.
Their work has been featured in publications including Art Is Spectrum, The New York Optimist, and International Contemporary Masters, Volume 8. Now based in South Florida for more than three decades, the artist continues to exhibit actively throughout the region and beyond. They are currently a resident artist at Arts Arena Gallery in Delray Beach and are represented by Art Fusion Galleries in Miami. Recent exhibitions have also included the Agora Gallery and Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York City, reflecting an ongoing commitment to both contemporary expression and classical artistic influence.
