Gail Erickson

Gail Erickson is a contemporary visual artist whose creative journey began in childhood in New York, where an early love of drawing and painting laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for art. Influenced by her father’s oil paintings, she later reignited her artistic practice through studies in ceramics and three-dimensional design at Palm Beach State College. Over the past two decades, Erickson has developed a distinctive style that blends painting and sculpture, creating richly textured works inspired by nature, the human form, and the beauty of everyday life.

Working primarily in acrylic mixed media, Erickson builds dimensional surfaces that invite viewers to experience her art beyond the canvas. Her sculptural pieces, which she describes as “realistic fantasy,” combine imagination with technical precision to create compelling visual narratives. Her work has been exhibited throughout South Florida, including at the Elliott Museum, and she is a signature member of the Wellington Art Society. Through every piece, Erickson seeks to inspire curiosity, reflection, and an appreciation for the expressive possibilities of texture, form, and color.
