Tim McFadden
Tim McFadden is a Baltimore-based glass artist who discovered his passion for glassblowing and sculpture in 2001 while studying at Salisbury University on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Drawn to the transformative nature of molten glass, he quickly developed a practice grounded in both technical precision and creative exploration. In 2006, McFadden established his own glassblowing studio in Southeast Baltimore, where he continues to design new work and refine his craftsmanship.
Influenced by traditional Italian glassmaking techniques, McFadden has trained at some of the most respected institutions in the field, including the Corning Museum of Glass and Pilchuck Glass School. His work reflects a balance between classical methods and contemporary design, resulting in sculptural and functional pieces that emphasize form, clarity, and movement. McFadden’s work has been exhibited internationally and shown in prominent venues such as the Walters Art Museum and the American Visionary Art Museum. His practice is defined by a dedication to innovation, mastery, and the expressive potential of glass.
