Emily Grieco
Emily Grieco is an abstract expressionist painter whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to art and creative exploration. Raised in New York City just steps from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she spent her childhood immersed in its galleries, an early influence that shaped her artistic path. Now based in Florida, Grieco has developed a vibrant and expressive style that reflects both her upbringing and her intuitive approach to painting.
Grieco studied at The Art Students League of New York under renowned artists including Knox Martin, Larry Poons, William Scharf, Kenneth McIndoe, and Harvey Dinnerstein. From the moment she first held a brush, she recognized painting as her most natural form of expression. Her work is characterized by unrestrained energy, bold color, and fluid movement, with compositions built from meaningful lines, shapes, and hues. Through her paintings, Grieco seeks to convey passion for life, creating uplifting works that evoke joy, excitement, and emotional connection through color and vibrant, expressive form.
