Whispers
"Whispers" was built the way I listen to the ocean — strip by strip, quietly, paying attention. I lay clear glass in long flowing ribbons, tucking cobalt blue in at its own rhythm, the way deep water flashes between swells. Then it all goes into the kiln, and what comes back is always a little surprising — strips that were lying flat begin to reach and twist upward together, finding a shape I could never have drawn on paper. Two forms rising, separate but inseparable. She draws you in close and says something different every time you look at her. I named her Whispers for exactly that reason.
